A romantic winter break in Montpellier: the true jacuzzi season

A romantic winter break in Montpellier can follow a simple plan: a walk in the centre when the weather allows, dinner together, then an evening in your private-jacuzzi suite. You can adapt the day to your mood and the weather, without making the whole stay depend on an outdoor activity.

An evening indoors, at your own pace

In our suites with a private jacuzzi, the bath is inside your accommodation. There is no time slot to share with other guests. Bathrobes, slippers and towels are provided, so you can leave those out of your luggage.

The bath is not filled before arrival. Allow around fifteen minutes to fill it with water at your preferred temperature while you settle in. After 11 pm, the jets must remain off out of respect for the neighbours; you can still use the bath. Keep that time in mind when planning dinner if you want to use the jets in the evening.

Which suite should you choose for winter?

Choose according to the setting you enjoy and the access arrangements, rather than a promise about temperature or weather:

• Saint-Roch: 55 m² beneath a 17th-century vault, with exposed stone and herringbone parquet. This is an underground cellar, reached by a few steps. It is near Saint-Roch church and rue Saint-Guilhem, not next to the railway station of the same name.
• Jean Jaurès: 42 m², a jacuzzi beneath a starry ceiling and a wall of roses. It is on an upper floor, with stairs and no lift.
• Comédie: 60 m², a flower wall, swing and walk-in double shower. The mezzanine-level suite is reached by a few steps.

Keep your plans in the centre flexible

You could spend part of the day exploring the Écusson, place de la Comédie or the Peyrou. If it rains or is windy, shorten your walk and allow for a break indoors. Check opening hours for any places you want to visit on your dates; a suggestion is not a guarantee that a venue will be open.

Our suites are in pedestrian areas, with no private parking. Comédie car park is around three minutes from the Comédie suite and four minutes from Jean Jaurès; Foch Préfecture car park is around four minutes from Saint-Roch. Read the access information to plan the final walk with your luggage.

Plan arrival and any extras

Self check-in starts at 5 pm, using the instructions sent before your stay. Check-out is by 11 am.

Three extras may be offered, subject to availability: romantic decoration, early check-in at 3 pm and late check-out at 1.30 pm. Have your choice confirmed when booking before changing your travel plans. The Vénusa experience explains what is included and what is optional.

Breakfast is included for the first morning and placed in the suite before arrival. For a stay of several nights, do not assume it will be supplied every day.

One night or a winter weekend?
